We attended the Northern Power Women Awards this week, which is Europe’s largest celebration of Gender Equality.
Gender equality matters to us because:
Women and girls make up half of the world’s population and if we don’t have gender parity we continue to risk social and economic progress
Women are underrepresented in political leadership; we feel adequate representation is essential for any democracy.
Intersectionality of women is not focused on enough, and we want to champion the equity for women of colour, the hardest hit when it comes to gender disparities
We were invited by our client Nugent who we have been supporting in their work to advance equality, diversity and inclusion over the last 18 months.
They were shortlisted for the Large Organisation award based on the work we have been doing in this area, championed by Normandie Wragg, MA.
Congratulations to the winners, and nominees, there were some very inspirational people from across the North of England there on the night.
